Proje, Konacık Mahallesi’nde, çevresindeki sosyo-kültürel tesis alanı ve bitişik park ile ilişki kuran, kentsel ölçekte bir odak oluşturma potansiyeline sahip bir parsel üzerinde konumlanmaktadır. Tasarım, yapı fonksiyonunun gerektirdiği hacimsel büyüklüğü bölgenin mevcut yapı tipolojisiyle uyumlu bir ölçekte ele alırken, tanıdık mimari öğeler içinde sade ve ayırt edici bir mimari dil oluşturmayı hedefler.
Planlama kararları; Paşa Dede Caddesi boyunca uzanan mevcut ağaç dokusu, 10,50 m yapı yüksekliği sınırı ve parselin kuzeyinde oluşan yaklaşık 4 m kot farkı gibi çevresel veriler doğrultusunda şekillenmiştir. Fizyoterapi ve hidroterapi gibi yoğun kullanılan fonksiyonlar kullanıcı gereksinimleri doğrultusunda ağırlıklı olarak zemin katta çözülmüş; dinlenme ve beden odaklı birimler ise teraslarla ilişkili olacak şekilde üst katta konumlandırılmıştır. Zemin kat tek kütle olarak ele alınırken, birinci kat parçalı bir kurguya sahip olup doğal ışık, teras kullanımı ve açık mekân ilişkileri güçlendirilmiştir.
Yerel ve doğal malzeme kullanımı, projenin temel yaklaşımlarından biridir. Cephede kullanılan kargı elemanları, güneş kırıcı ve saçak işlevleriyle ışık ve ısı kontrolü sağlarken; kayrak taşı ve sıva yüzeylerle birlikte bölgenin mimari karakterine referans veren bütüncül bir cephe dili oluşturur. Proje, çevresel verileri, işlevsel gereklilikleri ve yerel yapı kültürünü bir araya getiren dengeli ve bağlama duyarlı bir mimari öneri sunar.
The project is located in Konacık District, on a site with strong potential to become an urban focal point through its relationship with the surrounding socio-cultural facilities and the adjacent park. The design approach aims to accommodate the volumetric requirements of the building program at a scale compatible with the existing building typology of the area, while establishing a restrained yet distinctive architectural language through familiar architectural references.
Planning decisions are shaped by key environmental parameters, including the existing tree line along Paşa Dede Street, the 10.50 m height limitation, and the approximately 4 m level difference along the northern edge of the site. High-use functions such as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy are primarily located on the ground floor in response to user needs, while relaxation and body-oriented spaces are positioned on the upper floor in direct relationship with terraces. While the ground floor is conceived as a single, continuous volume, the first floor adopts a fragmented configuration that enhances natural daylight, terrace use, and connections to open spaces.
The use of local and natural materials forms a fundamental aspect of the project’s architectural approach. Reed (kargı) elements integrated into the façade function as sun-shading devices and canopies, providing both light control and thermal regulation. Combined with slate stone and plaster surfaces, these elements create a cohesive façade language that references the region’s architectural character. Overall, the project presents a balanced and context-sensitive architectural proposal that brings together environmental data, functional requirements, and local building culture.
